This week promises to be a busy one for trading. It will be slow start with US markets closed for Martin Luther King Jnr Day but will pick up pace on Tuesday.

US earnings season, the Davos conference in Switzerland, an official update on Brexit negotiating plans from British Prime Minister Theresa May, a flood of UK economic data, the ECB interest rate meeting and Chinese GDP data all have the potential to move the markets.
